Lipica Stud Farm
Lipica Stud Farm is famous for breeding the world-famous white Lipizzaner horses. The Lipica Stud Farm, the cradle of the Lipizzaner breed, was founded 430 years ago in the beautiful but harsh environment of the Karst region, in the little village of Lipica , on the karst plateau south of Sežana. It gained global fame by breeding Lipizzaner horses, which take their name from Lipica, their Slovenian birthplace. The Lipica Stud Farm is today one of the most beautiful cultural and historical monuments in Slovenia, attracting around 100,000 visitors every year. Lipica Stud Farm Lipica is unspoilt nature where, in the saddle, astride a marvellous Lipizzaner, you can experience the world in a different, freer way. It is also a world of elegance, to experience through the proud, dancing gait of the white beauties as they perform dressage routines in the classical riding school tradition. more informationhttp://www.lipica.org/ Photo: Besednjak
