Torun
Torun is one of the most beautiful small towns of Poland. Located in northern Poland, on the banks of the Vistula River, Torun is the birthplace of Nicolaus Copernicus. Torun is famous for the well preserved medieval architecture and the original urban layout.
The red brick Old Town Hall is one the most spectacular building in the town, with its 40 meters high tower is an excellent example of gothic secular architecture. The ruins of the Castle of the Teutonic Order remember the medieval times.  Old Town and Vistula River, Torun The symbol of Torun is the Leaning Tower, which was built in the 14th century. Its vertical deviation is of about 140 cm.
The Old Town’s jewels are its churches: the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Holy Mary, one of the most beautiful gothic temples in Poland, the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and St. John the Evangelist and the 17th century Church of St. Peter and Paul.
