Warsaw Jazz Festival 2010

„This year edition of the festival will be very exciting and interesting. Various stars, premiere events and great concerts will be presented throughout the summer in Warsaw. Traditionally the style of the festival will be varied from latin jazz and flamenco-jazz, mainstream, world-ethno music to soul, R & B and modern jazz. There will be premiere performances of musicians from the USA. We especially recommend young jazz stars – Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez who is Quincy Jones protégé and Grace Kelly – American saxophonist called "the princess of jazz" . Concert of Yaron Herman named magician of the piano and of flamenco – jazz master Sergio Pamies will also be very special" said: Krzyszfof Wojciechowski and Iwona Strzelczyk - Wojciechowska from Jazz Art Foundation, who organize the festival.

Grace Kelly Quintet – Mood Changes

Premiere. Outstanding event – first time in Poland, " the princess of jazz" – American saxophonist and vocalist – teenage " wonder child" who plays on most important stages, wins astounding number of prizes and is complimented by giants of jazz with whom she performs ie. Dave Brubeck , Phil Woods.

Robin McKelle Quintet – Mess Around

First time in Warsaw amazing American vocalist who is compared to the great Ella Fitzgerald, performs songs from her latest disc – great feast for soul, R&B as well as for jazz afecionados.

• July 31st

Andrzej Jagodziński Trio – Chopin and Jazz

Polish jazz star, one of the most outstanding pianists, music arranger and ambassador of Chopin in jazz interpretations with his project commemorating 200 year anniversary of the great composer.

• August 7th

Simple Acoustic Trio

One of the most renown and valued Polish jazz groups which conquers European jazz scene. Musicians known by their work with Tomasz Stańko for prestigious recording company ECM in their newest project.

• August 14th

Yaron Herman Trio

Amazing event. Often called "modern Keith Jarett" and" magician of the piano" this Israeli musician is considered to be unique talent in the history of piano playing. In his musical ventures he uses his theory of real time composing and amazes audiences with depth as well as totally new approach to music.

Włodek Pawlik Quartet – RewersGreat Polish jazz musician, composer of "Horovitz Jazz", who , at the 34th Film Festival in Gdynia, received an individual prize for the score to acclaimed film " Rewers".

• August 28th

Sergio Pamies Quintet – Flamenco – jazz project

First time in Poland.Young Spanish piano virtuoso, acclaimed for his very interesting combination of jazz and flamenco in his new project – "Entre Amigos"
