Modrac Lake



 

Modrac Lake is located in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Tuzla Canton, close to the town of Tuzla.
Modrac Lake is the biggest artificial lake in the region; it was created in 1964 by building a dam on the River Spreca. The 11-km-long and 1,6-km-wide lake covers about 17 km2 area.
Modrac Lake was originally created for industrial purposes but nowadays, the lake is a popular fishing area, primarily.
